So, I just got back from my anniversary trip, which was great fun. Jeffrey and I went to Pinecrest and went hiking and swimming in lakes and generally avoided civilization. I have to admit that I really liked not having a phone or internet access for a week. I'll see if I can post pictures after we get them off of the camera. It was breathtaking.
Also, for the record, we have set a date for the wedding. It will be in Fremont on September 6th, 2009. Forever and a day away, of course, which is somewhat upsetting. However, between both working and going to school full time right now I sure don't have time to plan a wedding. By '09, we should both be done with school.
Also, assuming things go as planned (which of course they never do) we will probably even be able to buy our own place. It would be nice to move into a place that we actually own right after the wedding. Since we live together now, that would make it a much more significant event than just a ceremony.
Well, we've been engaged for over a year already now, so what's the rush? haha.
I have been doing some minor wedding planning, though. You know, the exciting parts. haha. At least I have my color scheme picked out.

Today when I was babysitting Carter, who is nine, I felt old for perhaps the first time in my life.
I made some comment about when not everyone had an e-mail address, and Carter said "WOW! That was a really long time ago, huh?"
I also made an MC Hammer joke (don't ask) which of course he didn't get. I felt terribly dated.
